Winter hiking experience at the Plose
20. January 2016 by Aurelia
Starting point: mountain station of the cable car Plose at Valcroce
From Valcroce to Ski hut and to Malga Rossalm hut – This panoramic winter hike with its breathtaking views on the Odle peaks and Mount Putia offers untouched winter landscape, calm and silence. A further highlight are the culinary treats which expect the hiker at the mountain restaurant Schlemmer/Skihütte and at the Malga Rossalm hut.
The hike takes form the mountain station of the cable car Plose past the inn Geisler on a forest path and then through the beneficial pine tree wood to ski hut (walking time from Valcroce to ski hut about 45-60 min). High up then with the chair lift Ski hut ((€ 4,00 per person – BrixenCard is not valid, no dogs allowed) to Malga Rossalm. Slightly downwards, the wonderful winter hiking trail takes us back to Valcroce to the mountain station of the cablecar.
Walking time: about 2 ½ hours (without chair lift ride)
Our tip: The toboggan run Malga Rossalm and the Toboggan run Ski hut are open! So don’t forget your sledge!
Your BrixenCard benefit: free mountain and valley ride with the cablecar Plose!
I keep listening to the news update talk about getting free online grant applications so I have been looking around for the finest site to get one. Could you tell me please, where could i get some?

Thanks for the great insight! The BrixenCard is great if you are staying in a Hotel in Brixen, a lot you can do. We recently also were on the Plose. Great hike and great in winter 🙂
