The exhibition „Filling the void – MC Escher and beyond“at the Civic Art Gallery of Brixen form 20th January to 28th February, gives us a panorama on graphic works of different artists.
The renowned Maurits Cornelis Escher was a Dutch artist and graphic, who became famous for his representation of impossible figures, namely through its filling of surfaces. The image of an insect (or a rider, a bird, a dog …) repeats itself and fills the surface completely, without leaving voids.
Such a talent can only be admired, but if you take a more careful look, there is much more to be discovered in Maurits Cornelis Escher’s works…!
